Configuring password policy

This section provides a possibility to define the password policy for a business profile. The policy defined in this section is used the Change password section in the Account Security section.

If a user belongs to more than one business profile, the system selects here the strongest password policy among the business profiles a user is assigned to.

Example of a password policy
  1. Go to Settings icon Settings > Password policy.
    Important: Putting 0 in a field disables a requirement.
  2. In the Minimum number of characters field, enter the lowest number of characters allowed to use in a password.
  3. In the Maximum number of characters field, enter the higest number of characters allowed to use in the password.
  4. In the Amount of special characters field, enter the minimum number of special characters required in the password (allowed special characters: !"#$%&'()*+,-./:;<=>?@[\]^_{|}~).
  5. In the Amount of numbers field, enter the minimum number of digits (0-9) required to use in the password.
  6. In the Amount of uppercase characters field, enter the minimum number of capital letters required to use in the password.
  7. In the Amount of lowercase characters field, enter the minimum number of small letters required to use in the password.
  8. In the Password expires after (days) field, enter the number of days after which a password expires.
  9. In the Account block after (days) field, enter the number of days after which the account is blocked due to the password expiration. In such case, a user must reset the password.
  10. In the Password should be different then X lasts field, enter the number of previous passwords that cannot be used as a new password.
  11. In the Attempts to login before block account field, enter the number of unsuccessful logins after which the account is blocked.
  12. In the Logout after x seconds of being idle field, enter the number of seconds a user is logged out after being inactive.
  13. Confirm the changes by clicking Save.
