The Import module is a legacy solution. You should use Automation with Data Transformations instead.

Scheduling imports
While importing data sets to Synerise, you can use one of two types of schedule:
- Simple interval, which allows you to set the basic schedule configuration (the date range of an import and its frequency).
- Advanced interval, which allows a user to define the minute, hour, day of month or a week when an import starts.
Simple interval
- To get to Simple interval, you need to follow these steps:
- Go to
Settings > Imports > New import.
- Select the import type (profile, transactions, custom events, promotions, custom import).
- As the import method, select Pull - SFTP or API.
- Open the schedule settings of imports by clicking the Define button.
- Go to
- Select Simple interval.
Simple interval schedule - From the Import data every dropdown list, select the frequency of the imports.
- In the Start after field, define the day when you want the imports to start.
- Select the date in the calendar. The imports start on the selected day.
- By default, the hour and minute is automatically filled with the current time.
WARNING: Do not change the hour and minute of the import. They always default to the time of saving the settings.
- Optionally, in the End field, you can define the last day (and time) of the imports.
- Confirm the schedule by clicking the Apply button.
Examples
-
Import data every hour for one week.
- The configuration settings:
Start date: 30.11.2020 13:02
End date: 07.12.2020 13:03
Import every: 1 hour
Date and time of saving the configuration (clicking Apply): 27.11.2020 13:02- Result: The first import starts on 30.11.2020 at 13:02, the import is carried out every hour (14:02, 15:02, 16:02, and so on) till the last import which is carried out at 13:02 on 27.11.2020.
-
Import data every day for one week.
- The configuration settings:
Start date: 30.11.2020 13:02
End date: 07.12.2020 13:03
Import every: 1 day
Date of configuring the settings (clicking Apply): 27.11.2020 10:30- Result: The first import starts on 01.12.2020 at 10.30, the next one starts at 10.30 on 02.12.2020, and so on. The last import is carried out at 10.30 on 07.12.2020. The time in the settings and the actual time of starting import may differ - the system uses the date of clicking Apply and ignores the selected time that is different than the hour and minute you click Apply.

- Below the settings, you can see the summary of the import schedule.
*

in Days means the import is performed everyday,*
in Hour means the import is performed every hour.Important: The shortest interval between imports is one hour - that is why*
will never occur as a value in Minutes
Examples
-
Example 1 - The imports take place every day within the defined date range
Example 1 - Date range configuration Result: The first import takes place on 30.11.2020 at 20:20, it is performed every day until 05.12.2020, when the last import is performed at 20:20 (the end date of the import is set to 05.12.2020 20:34).
-
Example 2 - The imports take place every day within the defined date range and defined days of weeks
Example 2 - Date range configuration Result: The first import takes place on 30.11.2020 (Monday) at 20:20. The date configuration indicates imports at 13:20 and 20:20, however, the Start after date is set at 30.11.2020 at 17:34, so the import at 13:20 is ignored on that day. The next one import is performed on 01.12.2020 (Wednesday) at 13:20 and 20:20. The last two imports take place on 04.12.2020 (Friday) at 13:20 and 20:20.
-
Example 3 - The imports with undefined end date
Example 3 - Date range configuration Result: The first import takes place on 01.12.2020 at 16:00 (because the Start after date is set to 30.11.2020 at 17:34) and it is performed every day at 16:00 until you disable it.
