STEP 1 Tracking code and workspace

From this chapter you will learn how to implement tracking code on your website and how Synerise collects data needed for further use.

Tracking code

Tracking code implementation is the first step of the integration. It’s responsible for collecting data in our system. This script also has Synerise SDK, which allows you to integrate web push, track forms, set dynamic content on the website (without further integration), and much more.

To properly integrate a website with our platform, the tracking code must be added to the website. He should copy the script code by clicking Copy to dashboard and paste it into the code of each sub-page on the website before the </body> tags.

The tracking code collects events, which are understood as every touch point with your brand (all customer’s activities).

  • Some events are collected by default - e.g.: page visits, session start/end for anonymous users, system events like: message sent, newsletter open

  • Other events must be additionally sent – e.g.: add to cart, transactions, add to favorite, button click (and anything else you need to track)

Once this initial integration is done, you are good to go and start running your first campaigns on the website for the anonymous users!

Data collection

With Synerise you collect data as part of workspaces. If you have more than one website, you can:

  • Collect data under one workspace

To do this, put the same tracking code in different domains.

  • Collect data in separate profiles

Just create two or more workspaces in Synerise and generate an unique tracking code in each of them.

Workspace configuration

It is necessary to provide information regarding the workspace and configure some data in the system. In this part, we will show you how to do it in a few simple steps.

First of all you have to enter the name of your company, set up a workplace subdomain and your time zone.

Tip: We suggest you use the name of the company or the project that the company is executing for the workspace name. When using the platform, the subdomain workspace will be displayed in the upper right corner of the application.

Creating a domain is important in the context of creating Landing Pages in Synerise. Remember that the domain specified in the settings will be the default domain for the Landing Page in your account.

Workspace users

When your account is finally created, you can think about adding your team to Synerise. Invite new users to the workspace.

Go to Settings -> Users List and just click Invite.

Remember that you can also specify their permissions and give them different types of access.

If you want to establish the clear process of decision making with regard to the campaigns. By assigning reviewers and an approver, you indicate the users who will be responsible for verifying the quality and correctness of the campaign templates and approving them.
