Recommendations with products in a specific size
Many customers, especially in the footwear and clothing industries, struggle to find the sizes they need. Customers often give up the purchase process when they see that something is not available in their size. As a result, they leave the website and often do not convert for a long time, assuming that shop will not be able to help them.
The solution is to use a “let me know about availability” option. This button can be added to a product page and delivers some important benefits:
- It gives you the possibility to see how big the interest in product in specific size is
- It separates the group of customers who are interested in making a purchase, who can then be notified when a product is available in their size
Example of use - Retail industry
One of our clients from the Retail industry faced the problem of customers leaving the website because of the lack of the specific products in their size. They decided to implement visual recommendations based on the customer’s size.
This campaign was displayed for customers who met two conditions:
They searched for a specific product, and after choosing their size they saw the notification that it was unavailable
Then, they used “let me know about availability”
Recommendations were displayed only to customers who met those two conditions. They presented products visually similar to the unavailable item, but all of the products were available in customer’s size.
