Bestselling product recommendations

The purpose of this type of recommendation is to display one out of five product groups. You can determine which types of products you want to display, for example bestsellers of the last 30 days, products which have been viewed the most during the last 30 days and so on.

The psychological mechanism of social proof makes the choices of other people influence your final choice. It motivates you to browse (and often buy) products that are popular. This mechanism can significantly increase the number of transactions.

A good example of such category is sold items value in the last 30 days. Because the chosen category determines which products will be included in the recommendation offer, then it will be supplemented with a specific number of products which were sold by the highest price during the last 30 days.

Example of use - Home appliances industry

A client from the home appliances industry wanted to display bestsellers to encourage their customers to buy more. Recommendations were based on the total number of transactions.
